Avenger

Here at our Austin Dodge Dealership, Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep, we have recently presented the new 2011 Dodge Avenger in Austin. The new sedan-four-door  that is expressed with all the charm, elegance and comfort of the mark, has a totally new sculptural and elegant lines with the profile of coupe.

The 2011 Dodge Avenger Sedan competes in the ultra-competitive midsize car category with more daring looks and unique features than most of its competitors.

Overview

The Dodge Avenger is offered in three trim levels: Express, Mainstreet and Lux. All are powered by a 173-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to either a four-speed automatic (Express) or a six-speed automatic with manual shift mode (Mainstreet and Lux); a 3.6-liter flex-fuel V6 engine is also available.

Building on the value-packed Express trim, the Mainstreet adds aluminum wheels, a power driver’s seat, automatic climate control and satellite radio. The Lux trim boasts exclusive features that include 18-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, a rear spoiler, heated front seats and leather upholstery, as well as a multimedia centre with 30 gigabytes of internal memory, USB port, Bluetooth streaming audio and DVD video capability.

Safety features found on every Avenger include stability and traction control systems, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, active front head restraints, six airbags, tire pressure monitoring and a security system.

Powertrains and Perfomance

Dodge has reworked the suspension almost completely. For example 26 of the 30 suspension bushings are new. The suspension and the geometry were completely rethought. The track is an inch wider, tire width increased from 215 to 225 millimeters and the vehicle is 12 millimeters lower in the front and 6 millimeters in the rear for a more aggressive stance.

The changes have resulted in less body roll, less vehicle shake, improved isolation, better steering precision, response and feel and the increased grip of new premium tires.

Interior Design

2011 Avenger’s gets new ambient interior lighting and a new multi-function three-spoke Dodge steering wheel with integrated controls that allows drivers to operate the radio, cruise control, hands-free phone available features include voice command functions for hands-free phones, integrated USB port for streaming music, navigation and memo record, an iPod/MP3 jack, Bluetooth streaming music; Gracenote music identification; a hard drive that stores approximately 6,700 songs and remote start.
